Egyptology Days

Lowewood Museum is hosting two family Egyptlogy days during the February 2023 half-term.

They are on Wednesday 15 February and Thursday 16 February from 10:30am to 4pm (3pm-4pm on Wednesday is a quiet hour by reservation only)

There will be craft activities. Children can bring their favourite soft toy to be mummified and can learn more about hieroglyphics.

Entrance and activities are free (but donations are welcome)

Fossil Fun

On Friday 8th April 2022, Lowewood Museum will be holding a Fossil Fun day in partnership with Rockwatch, the UK’s Nationwide Geology Club for Children.

Activities will include:
– Make a Jurassic landscape;
– Have a go at making your own plaster cast fossils;
– Dino hunt around the museum.
– Bring your fossils to have them identified and see other fossils on display! 

Admission is free but donations are appreciated. Lowewood Museum is open between 10am and 4:30pm. The event is on the ground floor so is accessible for those in wheelchairs.
